The Melancholy Death Of Oyster Boy ~ Tim Burton

The Melancholy Death Of Oyster Boy is a book filled with small stories by Tim Burton. The small stories are quite sad if you think about it. The stories all have one thing in common, feeling like an outsider. This book demonstrates how the people feel but in a more humours/unrealistic way. For example one short story is about a boy who is born an oyster and his father kills him...because he is an oyster. All morbidness aside, these short stories are brilliant if you want to escape the more classical poems and short stories.
My favourite has to be "Sue" which is a short story/poem about a girl who sniffs glue. The books contains small illustrations, obviously the work of Tim Burton himself with big eyes and stick like figures and majority black colours.

Have you read this book?
What would you rate it?
I'd give it 7/10 the only reason is because maybe there could have been more happy stories? That might sound really weird but there's nothing wrong with a good happy story!
